Public Consultation Skills Tests

Public Consultation — Beginner

Foundations of public consultation in policy and government: why consult, who to involve, notice, accessible channels, recording input, and linking feedback to decisions. Practice-oriented; not legal advice.

Public Consultation — Intermediate

Designing and running consultations: proportionality, engagement plans, hard-to-reach groups, managing duplicate campaigns, privacy in open data, analyzing themes, and explaining how feedback shaped outcomes.

Public Consultation — Advanced

Advanced consultation governance: statutory vs discretionary processes, deliberative designs, equity weighting ethics, judicial review risks, cross-border notice, machine-readable feedback, post-decision feedback loops, and audit trails.
